Use data to figure out market and business trends for business to increase profits and efficiency
Participate in the use of complex computer programs to mine data sources and look for trends
Work with source systems to document new data sets
Work with architects and business leaders to acquire a solid understanding of the domain, the current state of technology, and the strategic direction guiding future efforts.
Participate in the definition of both functional and non-functional requirements of a system and define the BI delivery strategy, standards, and support tools
Review and contribute to technical specifications to ensure that they meet business requirements
Determine internal requirements for data controls and exception reporting
Perform complex data analysis and present findings to support recommendations
Propose design options; evaluate for feasibility and cost/benefit
Identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks
Ensure an appropriate level of business and functional project documentation is created.
Plan and coordinate activities with partners, including test planning and execution
Participates in work stream planning process using Agile methodology
Manage communication with sources and customers; create appropriate forums, manage agendas, and facilitate meetings
Partner with the Data Governance team to build out operational processes
Trains users to transform data into pertinent information and to use that information correctly
Researches tools, frameworks, and mechanisms for data analytics.
Create management presentations
Guide and mentor team members, power users, and colleagues on the use and importance of Analytics
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related field, or combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
