Participate in managing complex compliance engagements including, for example, Canadian income tax returns, Canadian trust returns, and Canadian-deemed resident trust returns
Work on a variety of complex consulting engagements
Ability to identify opportunities with clients and propose solutions that meet the client’s needs
Lead the development of proposals and proposal teams
Establish a broad network of relationships, including the opportunity to work with industry associations
Support the development and coaching of tax professionals and other junior tax staff members
Participate in, and contribute to, market and business activities, including opportunities for contributing to publications and journals
Requirements & Skills:
Prior experience in a public accounting firm or law firm an asset
Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal/recognized designation
The Master of Taxation (Mtax) or equivalent, or completion of Levels I, II and III of the CPA In-depth Tax Course would be an asset
Trust and Estate Practitioner designation (TEP) would be an asset
Good understanding of Canadian tax rules and issues facing high-net-worth clients with corporations and trusts
Proven ability to manage multiple assignments, clients and staff. Strong research, analytical, organization, and communication skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and a proactive attitude
Demonstrated business development skills and enthusiasm about contributing to the growth of the High Net Worth practice
A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside and/or coaching diverse people and perspectives
