Responsibilities:
- Design and execute experiments to ensure the process meets the performance and reliability requirements;
- Interpret test results to provide the rest of the Hysata team feedback for product design;
- Supporting the R&D team on the operation, troubleshooting, and improvement of cell/stack test equipment;
- Collaborate with team members to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues that arise;
- Be involved in data reviews to enable data-driven learning;
- Provide input on SOPs and safety protocols for new and existing laboratory processes; and
- Support the design activities for the large prototype and commercial electrolyzers by working under the senior engineer’s direction.
Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering;
- Recent graduate or less than 3 years experience;
- Able to read and develop basic process design documentation including P&IDs, Cause and Effects Diagrams;
- Enjoy working in a laboratory setting and enjoy the hands-on engineering of building and operating small-scale test equipment;
- Able to analyze data (Python, Matlab, or similar) and output succinct reports and presentations to the wider team;
- Motivated, and capable of working independently within a multi-disciplinary environment;
- Ability to adapt within a highly dynamic, fast-paced work environment; and
- Motivation to learn and develop design skills, detailed knowledge of electrolyzer cell operation, and optimization.
