Partner with counterparts in product, engineering, finance, and operations departments to produce the analyses, datasets and data models necessary to measure and inform product development
Develop deep systemic knowledge of data from operational systems (eg CRM or ERP software) and strategies for continuous improvement of the reporting capabilities of that data
Prototype SQL queries to create datasets that support product, operational, and revenue reporting needs
Build tools and dashboards to automate reporting and generate insights that will allow the team to quickly and accurately see how our products and processes are performing
Proactively identify areas outside the regular stream of business requests where analytics can add value – have that “canary in a coal mine” mentality when it comes to data
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or proven experience in these areas)
3+ years of professional experience in BI, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or similar role, with a focus on understanding user and behavioral data and its relationship to business outcomes
Robust methods for QA data to ensure accuracy and completeness
Strong SQL & data modeling skills
Advanced knowledge of ETL and data pipelining practices
Ability to and comfort with disambiguating stakeholder needs and requirements
