Support the development of data analytics projects, and apply data science, analytics, and computer vision to solve challenges in the manufacturing environment.
Execute strategy and support applications of statistical analysis, Machine Learning, Computer vision, and AI tools to improve product development, manufacturing, predictive maintenance, and business processes.
Support, plan, and execute the initial and wider deployment and adoption of Machine Learning and AI initiatives, PoC, and small-scale implementation.
Conceptualize Machine Learning problems, apply appropriate theory, explore approaches, execute simulations, and implement with minimal supervision.
Leverage internal and external expertise as required.
Regularly interface with senior management to provide project updates.
Occasionally responsible for hiring, leading, supervising, and evaluating indirect hires, such as summer students.
Requirements & Skills:
Master’s Degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related education with 2+ years of experience in industry with a focus on data analytics and/or computer vision.
Alternate: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related education with 5+ years of experience in industry with a focus on data analytics and/or computer vision.
Experience with a wide variety of Machine Learning and AI techniques and algorithms
Experience with computer vision
Ability to learn, be self-motivated, and driven to identify high-value opportunities, gain information, develop understanding, and engage in the implementation
Willingness to ask questions and build networks/relationships with other departments/groups
Knowledge of C++
Analytic tools and languages for statistical and machine learning models, especially Python
Experience with agile project management and related tools such as Confluence and JIRA
Experience with cloud-based tools by Microsoft, AWS, Databricks
Deep Learning frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow
