Responsibilities:

  • You will own the Data Stack Infrastructure including its Availability, Scalability, and Data Quality
  • Design Architecture, Data Models, and Data Pipelines based on a good understanding of the Tech side (GCP, Streaming, etc.) and the Business Logic side
  • Lead the Data Scientists and review their model’s quality
  • Perform hands-on contributions to new implementations
  • Perform Code Reviews
  • Improve and embed our CI/CD architecture
  • Manage a small Data Core team including Data Engineers, ML, and Data Scientists
  • Build the Data Core team roadmap based on Foundation improvement projects as well as solutions for different Madbox business requirements
  • Work closely with the CDO, CRO, Analytics Manager, Tech Producer, Tech PM, and the Growth team
  • Agile management of Projects to meet timelines, business needs, OKRs, and priorities
  • Present and communicate clearly your ideas, intentions, team and task status, and investigation results to colleagues and to the Executive management.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Master in Engineering, Data Science or Computer Science
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Big Data/Cloud systems architecture, pipelines implementation, Data Modelling, and ML/DS models in Prod.
  • 2+ years of experience in team management including leading employees, building roadmaps, agile PM, and presentation of results to C-Level
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and their different Data+AI related services
  • Experience setting up and monitoring optimized CI/CD
  • Deep understanding of Data Science model solutions for complex business requirements
  • Experience monitoring the results of different Algorithms and continuously improving their accuracy and reliability
  • Advanced proficiency and experience in Python and SQL
  • Autonomy and ability to make decisions and make projects move forward while keeping transparency and continuous updates to all relevant stakeholders
  • Great communication skills: straight to the point, focused on constructive feedback, positive mindset
  • Fluent communication (full English proficiency) with the rest of the team, engaging and demonstrating leadership while being deeply hands-on
