Responsibilities:
- Ensure engineering teams are effectively meeting their objectives
- Offer mentorship and guidance through one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations
- Establish clear expectations with engineers and hold them accountable for project outcomes
- Contribute to and enhance processes for engineering onboarding, training, and recruitment
- Develop and implement processes to boost productivity and ensure their adoption across the engineering teams
Requirements & Skills:
- Prior experience in engineering management (including roles as a team lead)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Capability to collaborate with product owners to offer context for project planning and timelines
- Skill in gathering and conveying valuable information to guide developers’ technical solutions
- Competence in offering constructive feedback to help developers enhance their skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally to remove obstacles for developers and boost productivity
