Leading engineering deliverables to success and fulfilling a forward-facing role with the internal client.
Supporting the Engineering Project Manager in ensuring that suitably skilled, qualified, and knowledgeable resources are assigned to CNL Engineering contracts, verifying the quality of technical work, and managing the scope of engineering work.
Interacting with a diverse group of CNL staff (i.e. Directors, Managers, Program Authorities, Program Managers, and Project Managers).
Monitoring and reporting on project/portfolio compliance and progress.
Providing oversight of the engineering work and technical deliverables provided by External Engineering Agencies, working with D&ER Engineering and Project Execution teams to ensure technical quality, budget, schedule, and management of scope changes.
Participating in leading decommissioning engineering activities and assessing the design in progress, including reviewing key design documents to verify that design requirements are met.
Assisting in selecting design participants and awarding design contracts.
Identifying, assessing, and initiating changes relative to the project scope statement in accordance with project change control procedures.
Performing the Engineering Representative (Eng. Rep.) function within Engineering Change Control (ECC) and ensuring compliance with CNL procedure requirements.
Developing and preparing technical specifications/documents and Scopes of Work, Simplified Design Plans (SDPs), Project Engineering Oversight Plans (PEOPs), Project Engineering Oversight Reports (PEORs), and Quality Program Selection (QPS).
Interfacing with design participants, decommissioning engineers, and technical staff to provide technical support during all project phases, as required to meet project objectives.
Identifying, assessing, and initiating changes relative to the project scope statement in accordance with project change control procedures.

Requirements & Skills:
Education
At a minimum, a Bachelor (Honours) in Engineering from a university of recognized standing.
Eligible to obtain OIQ Professional designation (Eng).
Full Professional Proficiency in English and French is required.
Experience
Seven (7) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience with 5 years of operational or project management experience in a licensed nuclear facility or otherwise regulated facility operations environment.
Demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary subjects/topics involving organizing, planning, coordinating, assessing, analyzing, and presenting information and ideas.
Experience in developing and writing technical documentation, reports, presentation packages, graphs, and briefing notes.
Experience with decommissioning and environmental remediation is an asset.
Experienced in dealing with engineering contractors.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Possession or in the process of achieving PMP/AACE certifications would be an asset.
Highly self-motivated and flexible relative to work assignments.
Comfortable performing duties based on broad general direction, minimal oversight, and willing to work cooperatively with others.
Ability to work effectively with personnel of varying disciplines to manage relationships with other CNL Departments.
Good interpersonal and oral communication skills.

General computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
