Responsibilities:

  • Leading the delivery of the analytics function, ensuring alignment with overall data strategy and performance standards.
  • Implementing AI and data science strategies, frameworks, and governance to support decision-making and organizational priorities.
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and data management standards.
  • Driving the adoption of emerging technologies to streamline data management, reduce risks, and improve business outcomes.
  • Providing technical leadership in Databricks, Power BI, and other tools, ensuring high-quality standards through code reviews and mentorship.
  • Collaborating with the Director or Chief to establish and execute a multi-year AI and data strategy, roadmap, and operational plans.
  • Leading, mentoring, and coaching a diverse team, fostering a high-performance, service-oriented culture.
  • Supporting recruitment, performance reviews, and employee development to build a strong, capable team.
  • Managing resources effectively, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and corporate processes.
  • Promoting innovation, continuous improvement, and a collaborative work culture within the unit.
  • Collaborating with Data Governance and Engineering teams to enhance data quality, integrity, and compliance.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience working with analytics and information management programs.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading data science and analytics teams.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in AI, machine learning, and data science techniques.
  • Proficient in tools such as Databricks, Power BI, Python, PySQL, and PySpark.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and Generative AI technologies.
  • Experience managing projects using Agile and Kanban methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
