Responsibilities:
- As a Cloud Developer Advocate, you’ll be a critical voice in assessing and promoting the adoption of cloud platforms and technologies, inspiring developers, research customers, sponsors, and decision-makers to harness the power of the cloud like never before.
- This is a unique role at the intersection of technical promotion, community building, and strategic project management.
- This role requires a seasoned professional who is deeply technical, with a strong background in marketing cloud solutions and a passion for building and nurturing engaged cloud communities.
- You’ll spread the word of our continuum computing approaches, sharing our solutions, highlighting research innovators, and revolutionizing the way organizations approach technology.
Requirements & Skills:
- Cloud Evangelist: Focal point for emerging cloud technologies and insights from the community and market trends used to inform product and strategy development, driving awareness and credibility across government and industry audiences.
- Passion for Technology: You live and breathe cloud computing, with a deep understanding of its transformative potential.
- Exceptional Communicator: Expert ability to convey technical information to diverse stakeholders (including non-technical), ensuring clear and compelling communication of impact and objectives.
- Project Manager: Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques applied to cloud computing platforms, services, and architectures.
- Community Developer: Spearheading initiatives to assess current skills, design tailored training programs, foster hands-on experience, facilitate mentorship, and promote a culture of continuous learning of cloud technologies for innovation and growth.
- Cross-Organization Leader: A conscientious and detail-oriented thought leader who inspires innovative solutions to customers’ most urgent information technology challenges.
Technical Expertise
- Proven experience in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with a deep understanding of modern architectures, DevOps, and cloud-native solutions.
- Strong technical writing skills with a portfolio of published content (e.g., blogs, whitepapers, presentations).
- Specialized technical/functional (e.g., Cloud/HPC computing, Security, AI) experience.
Marketing Prowess
- Experience guiding creative input, development, and execution from concept to completion, including comprehensive campaigns.
- In-depth technical knowledge and skillful presentation development abilities in addressing working teams, large audiences, executives, researchers, and analysts.
- Business acumen, aptitude for insightful analysis, and skilled in crafting and delivering compelling messaging and value propositions.
Community Focus
- Proven experience in creating, engaging, and expanding professional communities, especially in the tech industry space.
- Passion for creating inclusive spaces that foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Ability to build technical and business credibility with research staff and grow mind share with highly strategic partners.
Project Management
- Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience hosting or participating in technical conferences, hackathons, or similar events.
