Responsibilities:

  • Lead the automation transformation strategy to achieve lights-out manufacturing capabilities at the Hangzhou site.
  • Drive automation projects aligned with the Lighthouse initiative roadmap.
  • Identify and implement local Chinese advanced technologies.
  • Optimize engineering and maintenance tasks through digital solutions (automated scheduling systems for maintenance operations) and predictive technologies.
  • Leverage integrated AI and advanced analytics to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Monitor KPIs and metrics to track progress toward automation goals.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources for automation initiatives.
  • Build capabilities within the site team to support and sustain digital transformation.
  • Design and implement automation solutions (SCADA, DCS, PLCs).
  • Support IoT device integration to enhance connectivity.
  • Manage assigned automation projects to meet targets.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Optimize production processes through automation.
  • Follow cybersecurity protocols to protect systems.
  • Decide on technical configurations, programming standards, and system integration methods.
  • Provide feedback on the IoT roadmap to optimize production connectivity.
  • Contribute to project prioritization and resource needs based on project progress.
  • Maintain and update compliance documentation, as directed.
  • Identify and support process improvements under strategic guidance.
  • Assist in OT/IT integration with cybersecurity compliance to ensure secure system interoperability.
  • Be responsible for HSE in his/her position and job.

Requirements & Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing automation, digital transformation, or related fields.
  • Proven track record implementing Industry 4.0 technologies in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, IoT, and digital platforms.
  • Expertise in AI applications for manufacturing and process optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of Chinese advanced automation technologies and the local innovation ecosystem.
  • Experience with maintenance optimization and predictive maintenance technologies.
