Design, plan, and develop automated equipment and processes to ensure maximized efficiency and productivity.
Specify material used to construct and install new automation equipment and maintain established automation from a list of approved suppliers.
Identify possible problems that could arise in existing and future automation systems and create changes to eliminate downtime and streamline efficiencies.
Lead automation initiatives to maintain equipment and ensure maximum productivity or “uptime”.
Support internal customer groups by identifying opportunities to automate and better support the growing needs of the business.
Coach and train current product engineers on the existing automated systems.
Improve current and design new processes to error-proof products.
Requirements & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, focus in industrial or mechanical engineering preferred
Years of Experience: P2: 2 or more years of experience required; P3: 5 or more years of experience required, experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred
