Oversee all technology development and implementation aspects, including software development, system architecture, and infrastructure.
Product Development:
Lead the Debate Partners platform’s design, development, and deployment, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and innovative solutions.
Hands-On Coding:
Engage in hands-on coding to build and refine features, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
Provide mentorship and guidance to the development team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Team Management:
Direct our current team of 4 developers; build and lead a high-performing, agile development team, attracting top talent and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Manage and optimize the software development lifecycle, implementing efficient processes and tools for project management, testing, and deployment. QA all code received.
Innovation and Improvement:
Stay abreast of the latest technological trends and advancements, integrating cutting-edge technologies and methodologies into the platform.
Continuously evaluate and improve the platform’s performance, user experience, and security.
Requirements & Skills:
Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar leadership role, preferably in a startup environment.
Deep hands-on coding experience and proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Node.js, React, etc.).
Strong background in software architecture, cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure), and DevOps practices.
Demonstrated ability to build and scale technology solutions from concept to production.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience building and mentoring tech teams.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment across teams.
