Responsibilities:
Strategic
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize the organization’s cloud infrastructure, ensuring it meets performance, security, and cost-efficiency objectives.
- Implement measures to enhance the reliability and availability of systems and applications through effective monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery planning.
- Implement and enforce engineering principles and standards to achieve operational excellence.
Project
- Drive initiatives to automate manual processes, reduce manual intervention, minimize errors, and accelerate deployment cycles.
- Implement and promote Infrastructure as Code principles to manage and provision infrastructure resources efficiently and consistently.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes to maintain a secure and compliant technology environment.
- Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing updates, insights, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
General
- Direct management of 10+ external resources.
- Manage budget, time, and team resources.
- Manage multiple vendors and participate in IT tenders.
- Responsible for the yearly and quarterly budgeting process.
- Form and manage engineering strategy.
- Actively seek opportunities, embracing the ideation process to leverage the possibilities.
Requirements & Skills:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in software development, with significant experience in cloud infrastructure operations and DevOps.
- At least 3 years in a leadership/manager role.
- Experience with public cloud providers: AWS (preferred), Azure, and GCP.
- University or college degree.
- Experience in managing DevOps teams, preferably including vendor management.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to cooperate with a variety of stakeholders, and team player personality.
- Dedication, positivity, integrity, and inclusivity.
- Good project management skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for custom-built software solutions.
- Ability to live and work in Budapest, Hungary.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
