Responsibilities:

  •  Envision Emerging Experiences
    • Challenge the status quo and advocate for a spirit of curiosity and experimentation throughout the organization.
    • Work closely with leadership and engaging stakeholders to identify high-potential opportunity spaces and themes.
    • Co-lead the Experience Design Lab with the VP of Design, leading a small but mighty team of members with diverse backgrounds and inspiring others with divergent thinking on new possibilities
    •  Develop a repeatable approach to identify new initiatives, envision experiences, and graduate projects into actual products.
  •  Elevate Design +  Partner with the Director of Product Design to:
    •  Transition visions into reality.
    •  Increase the design maturity of the team.
  • You are genuinely passionate about simplifying work for colleagues through the constant evolution of enterprise software experiences and their implications on analog and digital workflows.
  • Omni-Channel / Service Design mindset: Think in Online/Offline digital workflow, Systems, Touchpoints, and not Screens.
  • Curious opportunist” Highly curious and can interpret a rough understanding of our parent group’s business operations and context into design opportunities to reframe users’ experience with digital technology
  • Strategic Designer” Think strategically and execute methodically, with a focus on evolving ourselves towards new interaction models.
  • An excellent communicator, catalyzing change with a conviction of what experiences need change, based on data, facts, and evidence if available
  • Resourceful, Proactive, and Biased-Towards-Action mentality: Experienced in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment like a top tier design & innovation consultancies, incubators, and accelerators is a plus.
  • Changemaker: Navigate many facets of a large organization with different ideas, business requirements, and data points to derive cohesive experience visions
  • Experienced in creating novel experience concepts that are ahead of current interaction models of existing digital products
  • Comfortable with being a misfit or misaligned – knowing that playing it safe means we’re not pushing the boundaries

Requirements & Skills:

  • Experience in turning research insights into designs that address needs and opportunities
  • Basic understanding of research methods.
  • Knowledge and experience integrating accessibility from UX to Engineering is a plus.
  • Experience in building design systems for multiple products/platforms
  • Expertise overseeing and supporting to building of a cross-functional Design System.
  • Knowledge integrating a Design System team with Engineering.
  • Plus: Experience in building an in-house integrated Design System and processes
  • Strong understanding of delivery and execution within Agile and SCRUM methodologies
  • Experienced in and enjoy the day-to-day grind.
  • Experience advocating for Data, Insights, and UX to be thought-partners for Product and Digital Strategy
  • Experienced peer Product Directors to shift from a reactive scope of work to leading proactive initiatives.
  • Value unique perspectives & build a diverse team.
  • Experienced in managing a remote and diverse team and building a culture around it.
  • Experience building a team that has complementary skills.
  • Empower Mgrs to own Product UX/UI Experience decisions.
