Responsibilities:
- Deploy and support industry-leading tools on our High-Performance Compute infrastructure
- Maintain the High-Performance Compute platform
- Identify ways of improving our current processes and remedies through the use of automation
- Ensure that operational best practices (supervision/monitoring, backups, archives, log management) are implemented.
- Support users in onboarding to the platform
- Identify new opportunities within the business to utilise the platform
Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar. Although relevant experience will be considered in lieu of this.
- Experience with the below or similar is desirable but not essential:
- Linux (RedHat, though other distributions will be considered)
- Bright Cluster Manager or similar
- Altair Access/PBS
- Self-Motivated/Flexible with a constructive ‘can do’ attitude
- A good problem solver showing initiative and improvisation
- Able to question/challenge established processes and offer innovative alternatives
- Demonstrates attention to detail, particularly in investigating problems, and a pride in producing accurate work
- Must be able to work in a multi-disciplined team environment with Suppliers, Thales employees, and customers present.
- Excellent technical observational and communications skills
