Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy: Lead a team of ML-DataOps engineers to enhance our AI-powered service workflows. Drive and execute the technical vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s broader goals.
  • Product Development and Management: Collaborate with product teams and external partners to identify high-value ML-DataOps projects. Oversee the roadmap planning, scoping, implementation, and delivery of ML-DataOps solutions that enable faster iteration, better comparisons, more performant serving of our AI models.
  • Team Development and Operations: Mentor and support your team in their professional development. Foster a collaborative, safe, and growth-oriented environment. Define and implement effective working methodologies to achieve high-impact results.
  • Hiring and Resource Planning: Work closely with recruitment to expand the team, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly propose and implement improvements across all aspects of the technology stack and operational processes.
  • Design, architect and maintain generally available ML-DataOps tools that support rapid iterations and scalable solutions.
  • Enhance the development experience for ML research engineers through improved DevEx on our platforms.
  • Navigate and contribute to the evolving landscape of cloud-native ML frameworks and tools.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Experience: At least 6 years in software development with a focus on backend, data, and machine learning, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in an ML-DataOps platform (e.g. MLflow, ClearML etc.), AWS, Kubernetes, Python, PyTorch, and familiarity with CI/CD, cloud concepts.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and people management skills. Proactive, well-organized, and capable of driving projects autonomously.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Location: Based in Europe (UTC-1 to UTC+3), willing to join company events 4 times a year.
  • Experience in medical AI or similar regulated fields.
  • Familiarity with the Azure ecosystem is a plus.
