Identifying and implementing integrated supply chain solutions and performance improvements, including building internal and external alliances to explore opportunities.
Interfaced with internal and external manufacturing sources of supply to track volume and spend information.
Assess single source risk (SSR) at the component and group level of the product.
Continue to improve Wear Components automated system accuracy that calculates single source risk and region of consumption.
Continually update forecasting tool with newly released P/N’s and value stream capacity changes.
Leading Wear Supply Optimization related efforts and interface directly with supporting Metal Face Seals teams:
Coordinating efforts to centrifugally cast higher IP materials by working with both seal facilities, product group and including Tech Center Advanced Materials Technologies resources supporting the “Finishing Transformation Lines” within US Seal Facility and Korea Seal Facility, which includes improving various casting and finishing processes to increase both efficiency and enable tighter tolerances to increase overall performance and wear life.
Coordination with CPSK and CPSA, which includes identifying opportunities of transferring from existing base as well as updating and presenting proposals in its various phases.
Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities.
Coordinating resources across the businesses with sales and marketing, product development groups, value chain, and manufacturing.
Overseeing project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems.
Directing project staffing; motivating and developing project team and team members.
Other duties are assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science.
