Front End Developer, Swagelok

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to create seamless and efficient web applications.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement and maintain front-end frameworks and libraries.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• May be responsible for leading projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
• Works independently without supervisor and project manager direction.
• Develops context diagrams, detailed design specifications, and system documentation including screen design, interface design, and program flow diagrams.
• Understands relational database design solutions.
• Works with the line of business users through the requirements-gathering process and supports the collection, documentation, and validation of business and system requirements. Works to translate those requirements into detailed specifications.
• Performs peer design reviews and provides best practice documentation for the team.
• Participates in the definition and adoption of new development approaches and technology.

Requirements & Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in enterprise solution programming and design
• Proven experience as a Front End Web Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to understand and explain difficult concepts and influence others.

Preferred:

• Experience with server-side rendering and front-end build tools.
• Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Understanding of SEO principles.
