GIS and Database Management Specialist, Rio Tinto

Responsibilities:

• Administer QMM official databases (Analyze, Save, Secure and Manage)
• Carry out mapping and spatial analyses of data relating to the geographic information system
• Ensure database compliance and performance.
• Ensure the management of internal and external data of the Mine Technical Partner department as required.
• Manage photos of the Rehabilitation and Management of Natural Resources entity.
• Establish and produce official maps relating to the PGES/BAP and Rio Tinto reports.
• Establish a system for continuous improvement of the performance of the contracting team in terms of data management.
• Ensure the integration of QMM databases into the Datawarehouse.
• Implement ArcGIS Server and Online at QMM and provide training and coaching to stakeholders.
• Ensure management of AcQuire databases (water and geology).

Requirements & Skills:

• Holder of an engineering degree preferably in Mining Engineering, Geology, Geomatics, Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 05 years of experience in the field of data management
• Analytical, rigorous, and methodical mind
• Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) (Development, Administration, QAQC, Operations) and programming
• Software proficiency: ArcGIS Pro, MS Access, MS Excel, AcQuire, PowerBI and other programming languages ​​such as SQL and Python
• Understanding environmental, ecological, terrestrial, marine and coastal biodiversity monitoring methods.
• Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively in an understandable manner
• Ability to manage contractors.
• Good capacity in logistics management.
• Fluency in French and English
