Owning the strategic and tactical aspects of our IP development, balancing the short, medium, and long-term efforts.
Communicating effectively with product and engineering groups in order to work synergistically towards Verbit’s business goals.
Growing the team and hiring excellent machine learning engineers and researchers.
Maintaining the culture of innovation and execution, fostering communication and a joyful atmosphere in accordance with company core values.
Staying abreast of technological developments. Cultivating and expanding Verbit’s AI brand.
Requirements & Skills:
PhD in computer science, with a focus on machine learning or a related field
5+ years experience of leading teams in speech recognition, computer vision, or related deep learning field
Experience with GenAI – an advantage
Proven track record in building ML-based systems used in production
Proven track record in hiring, training, managing, and retaining world-class engineers
Solid engineering background
Strong organizational and people management skills
Experience working directly with products to deliver business value
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, good-spirited, and fun to work with a hungry, driven, owner-like mind frame
