Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate new features for the machine learning pipeline.
- Engage with other departments to understand overall company needs.
- Participate in inter-departmental meetings to address ML-related needs and issues.
- Assist in implementing new features and resolving bugs.
- Ensure proper documentation of features.
- Communicate improvements and changes, raising awareness of new developments.
- Understand the entire ML pipeline, including data workflows, training workflows, and underlying infrastructure.
- Ensure smooth operation of the ML pipeline and prompt resolution of errors.
- Supervise a team of 2-4 members, including:
- Planning and organizing iterations within the Scrumban framework.
- Ensuring effective team performance.
- Providing technical support or resources as needed.
Requirements & Skills:
- Strong understanding of the current state-of-the-art in machine learning for computer vision.
- Solid knowledge of machine learning principles.
- MSc in Data Science, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience with AWS services such as EC2 and S3.
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch.
- Familiarity with Docker and orchestration.
- Experience working with large image datasets.
- Team leadership experience.
- Familiarity with Scrum, ideally Scrumban.
- Interest in working in a dynamic start-up environment.
