Requirements & Skills:

  • The position requires a PhD degree in electrical, computer or biomedical engineering, computer science, or a closely related area.
  • The successful candidate is expected to develop/validate algorithms for medical images and perform data analysis using state-of-the-art software programming tools such as Python.
  • They are also expected to write publications, liaise with collaborators, work with a team of graduate and undergraduate students, and other duties related to academic scholarship.
  • Candidates should have a strong background in software development, image analysis, and machine learning applications involving images using Python, C++, OpenCV, Matlab, and other related frameworks.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art AI systems such as deep learning and convolutional neural networks, image processing, medical imaging, databases, web technologies, and application integration using APIs/SDKs is a definite asset.
  • The candidate should have an established track record of publishing in key journals, conferences, and workshops. Ideally, they will also have experience with software management/version control (git).
