Responsibilities:
- Lead system operations between cloud and on-premises IT UNIX infrastructure
- Engineer, administer, and support services and products deploy to Azure or AWS platform.
- Assist with the development of automated tools/scripts for use across the enterprise.
- Analytics and reporting using Cloud Native tools
- Responsible for the OS support for 12,000+ hosts located globally, running RedHat Enterprise Linux
- Review dashboards & reports for new & the rollout status of existing vulnerabilities.

- Server builds, monitoring, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of servers.
- Perform system administration duties across the environment to provide support services for customers.
- Maintain server availability for all sites and periodically participate in DR exercises.
- Must have good problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
- Resolve help desk issues and process items in a ticket queue.
- There are no after-hours on-call requirements, but the individual should remain flexible for critical situations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and provide operations support for bridge calls.
- Participate in the development and implementation of UNIX-related projects.
- Supervise servers and remediate alerts that get raised.
- Following detailed processes and procedures is critical.
- Good, clear communication is an absolute must.
Requirements & Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of RHEL.
- Demonstrable experience in Cloud Environments, with a preference for Azure, though AWS or Google Cloud knowledge is also valuable.
- Experience with Kubernetes/containers is vital.
- Strong proficiency in coding/scripting is crucial, particularly with Python, Go, Perl, or Java.
- Familiarity with modern DevOps / CI/CD and SRE principles/techniques is required.
- Proven track record in Build/Kickstart/Deploy processes & configuration management like Puppet.
- Expertise in Volume Management and Clustering: LVM, VxFS, VCS & VVR.
- Understanding of server hardware from vendors such as HPE and Dell.
- Knowledge of network services such as TCP/IP, NFS, DNS, LDAP, FTP, NTP, Samba, Autofs.
- Skills in security and performance monitoring and analysis.
- Conceptual understanding of storage and networking components.
- A minimum of 8+ years of comparative industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology
- This role primarily involves weekday work, but flexibility to work weekends is required as needed
