Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers and internal teams
  • Troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements relating to data platforms, pipelines, models, analytics and dashboards
  • Work closely with development teams to identify and fix bugs
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems
  • Write technical documentation and guides
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
  • Be a point of escalation for high severity incidents as they occur
  • Improving our internal managed service / support tooling, accelerators, processes and playbooks to help us work more efficiently and effectively
  • Liaise with the managed services team, clients, technology partners and stakeholders to develop backlogs for continuous improvement

Requirements & Skills:

  • Prior experience working with data pipelines, models and analytics (including BI) in a production context –  either as an Analytics Engineer or in related roles such as a Database Administrator (DBA) or BI Developer
  • Proficiency in implementing, supporting and developing on several of the following tools and technologies:
    • BI tools (Qlik Sense and/or Power BI experience required)
    • Analytics engineering tools (dbt experience required)
    • Data lakehouse technologies (such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery or Synapse)
    • DevOps / source control / orchestration tools (such as Git or Azure DevOps)
    • Languages (preferably SQL, with python being nice to have)
  • Broader cloud and infrastructure experience would be highly regarded but not mandatory
  • Passion for “learning on the job” and being hands-on across a range of evolving data technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Enjoys context switching and has strong attention to detail even while working across different clients
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise and organise work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to take ownership and use good judgement and initiative to achieve positive client outcomes
