Responsibilities:

  • Legal Advisory: Provide comprehensive legal advice on AI-related matters, including data privacy, intellectual property, liability, and regulatory compliance in close coordination with the other functions in the group Legal team.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and guidelines related to AI usage and governance.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all AI initiatives comply with applicable laws and regulations, including data protection laws in collaboration with the DP Office.
  • Contract Templates: Develop and implement templates of clauses covering AI technologies embedded in SE’s offers.
  • Contract Review: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to AI technologies, including licensing agreements, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with AI projects and initiatives.
  • Training and Education: Conduct training sessions for internal teams on legal issues related to AI, promoting awareness and understanding of legal requirements and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business leaders, to provide legal support and guidance on AI projects.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Stay updated on the latest legal developments in AI and report on potential impacts to the company.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) / Master’s degree from an accredited law school.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of legal experience, with a focus on technology law, data privacy, and intellectual property. Experience with AI-related legal issues is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Certifications: Admission to the bar in at least one jurisdiction will be considered.
  • Experience working in-house at an industrial / technology company.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies, or at least Digital Technologies, and their applications.
  • Strong understanding of global data protection laws and regulations.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and build strong relationships.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
