Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development of process controls and functional tests in the LabVIEW programming environment.
  • Recommends new technology, including AI, VR, robotics, and light-guided assembly, for improving manufacturing quality and efficiency.
  • Develops and maintains product configuration tools.
  • Knowledge of embedded and application software to understand requirements for production.
  • Leads the design of the production cell for new product introductions, including assembly automation, test, and packaging.
  • Develop and approve specifications and implement processes for assembly and test of new/revised products, including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results.
  • Designs, develops, tests, and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arranges for the purchase of machinery and equipment according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Prepares project documentation, including diagrams or layouts.
  • Provides verbal or written project status reports to project teams, management, subcontractors, or customers.

Requirements & Skills:

  • 4+ years relevant experience
  • Software development skills (LabVIEW, Python, C#, C++)
  • Database architecture design for storing and analyzing production information.
  • Proficient in SVN or other code management systems for source code control.
  • Expertise in communication protocols (CAN) and debugging techniques for effective resolution of errors.
  • Experience in Mechanical/Electrical drawings for industrial equipment
  • Informal leadership of other team members to accomplish project tasks
  • Ability to manage tasks and collaborate on project schedules
  • Identify and drive improvement initiatives within the team
  • Read, analyze, and interpret common technical content to identify new technologies and trends.
  • Effectively communicate information to development engineers, production operators, and management teams.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Read and interpret test specifications and electrical schematics to determine proper test methodology.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent English language verbal and written communication and presentation skills
