Software Team Lead for the Typhoon Active Cockpit Rig (ACR) – based at Warton and reporting to the Engineering Manager for the Simulation & Synthetic Engineering Department
General day-to-day duties would include managing task delivery, people management, quality control, and operational management
Operationally manage the project tasks to ensure the team and wider resources are prioritized in line with contract needs and against planned deliverables/milestones to ensure that schedules are maintained
Managing personnel & sub-contract staff for the Warton & Filton-based groups ensuring that they operate as an integrated team. Team size is typically 12-20 engineers
Working closely with the ACR Facility Lead to ensure the ACR provides an efficient design prototyping service with simulation facilities that support our internal customers, the Typhoon Cockpit Group. This includes managing the software engineering activities, ensuring configuration control and documentation are to the required quality and standard
Requirements & Skills:
Degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience
Experience in Software Project Management on complex projects
Agile methodology experience, with experience with the Jira toolset
Experience in leading teams and managing personnel
Familiarity with C/C++ language would be desirable
Knowledge and experience of Simulation Software, working in the Mission Systems/Defence domain would also be desirable
