Responsibilities:

  • Data Engineering/ETL: Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines using cloud-based technologies (such as Airflow and PySpark) to extract, transform, and load large and complex datasets.
  • Model Development: Build, train, evaluate, and deploy data science models and algorithms to address critical healthcare challenges without supervision.
  • Statistical Analysis: Use your expertise to conduct rigorous statistical analyses, including hypothesis testing and A/B testing, to draw meaningful conclusions from data.
  • Insight Generation: Uncover actionable insights from complex data, and communicate findings effectively through compelling visualizations and presentations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including pharmacists, analysts, and engineers, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science and machine learning, and explore innovative approaches to solve complex problems.
  • Take ownership of the development and implementation of complex Data projects, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in building, training, evaluating, and optimizing machine learning models, with a strong focus on model development and deployment.
  • 2+ years of industry experience generating actionable insights from data and telling stories from complex data.
  • 2+ years of industry experience in statistics, hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and experimental design.
  • Solid experience and understanding of data science methods such as Time Series, Regression, Classification, Clustering, Deep learning, NLP, GenAI, etc
  • Extensive industry experience in data ETL pipeline automation on cloud-based tools (preferably using AirFlow and PySpark).
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Airflow, and deep learning tools such as Keras or Tensorflow.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas in a concise manner
  • Understanding the healthcare domain, with a passion and desire to make a positive impact.
